North Texas Yearbooks: The Best Yearbooks are Taylor-Made

KellyJo Smith, Calvary Christian Academy, Fort Worth, Texas

When I took a teaching position at my school it came with the “condition” that I become the yearbook adviser as well.  Since I had been on my high school staff I thought ‘how hard can this be’?  Well, since I graduated before computers were even thought of, I soon realized that creating a yearbook was completely different.  I was scared to death.  My fears however were soon put to rest.  My Taylor representative worked with me, came in and trained me and my new staff, called me to check on me constantly and made sure all my deadlines were met.  I have now been the adviser for 16 years and would never consider using any other company.  When our school had to make changes to our budget, Taylor made sure that we were given the perfect yearbook plan so that our budget could be met and we could continue creating books for the student body.  Between workshops that I have attended, phone calls after hours, new programs that make it virtually as easy as clicking my mouse to create a layout, and the BEST representatives that truly care about me, my staff and school, I could not imagine being an adviser without Taylor.  My representative has become one of my dearest friends.Taylor has earned my respect as a company that truly works with their customers, is concerned for customer satisfaction and stays loyal in order to make a better product year after year.

This is my first year to be a yearbook adviser and I was very nervous about where to start and what to do. Dave DePaul has definitely put my mind at ease. Dave calls and emails regularly and comes to the school to check on me and answer my many  questions. Dave helps the students and gives them ideas and/or answer questions. He is very patient in teaching me what I need to know in order to pass along the information to my students. Dave is very knowledgeable and dedicated, and any issue, small or large, that I have is resolved as soon as I talk to Dave.
